Supporting Goodwill Industries International
Several of our staff members regularly donate to Goodwill and support its mission. So, this month, we are featuring Goodwill Industries International in our Good Works segment.
Goodwill Industries International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a long history of helping communities. Many people know Goodwill for accepting donated clothing and household items. The organization also operates thrift stores across the country.
Helping People Build New Careers
However, Goodwill does much more than operate thrift stores. The organization also provides job training and career services across a variety of industries. Through its career centers and programs, Goodwill helps people develop skills and find new employment opportunities.
Goodwill shares its mission on its website, explaining its commitment to strengthening communities and removing barriers to opportunity. Ultimately, the organization works to help people reach their full potential through learning and employment.
Goodwill has served nearly 2 million people worldwide and helped train more than 100,000 people for new careers.
How You Can Support Goodwill
Fortunately, there are many ways to support Goodwill and its mission. You can donate clothing and household items, make a financial contribution, volunteer, become an advocate, or support the organization as a sponsor.
Whether you donate your time, money, or gently used items, your support can help Goodwill continue serving communities and creating opportunities.
